What I Work On
Most of the work I share here sits at the intersection of maritime and supply chain operations, data, processes and markets. These are the areas where I tend to explore problems, build projects and form views based on both analysis and practical industry context. Visit the About page to learn more about my approach.
01
Exploring freight markets, shipping dynamics and the wider maritime environment, with a focus on how market conditions, trade flows and commercial developments influence decisions.
02
Exploring supply chain processes, information flows and operational challenges, with a focus on how better structure, visibility and coordination can support more effective decisions and execution.
A selection of projects exploring data and practical ideas across maritime, supply chain and commodity trading.
Featured project
A modern vendor and contract management platform designed to centralize supplier information, track contracts and obligations, and give teams clearer visibility into their vendor relationships.
Project under development
I use projects, data and market research to understand what is missing, what could work better and where new ideas may add value across maritime, supply chain and commodity trading.
A Weather Working Day is not simply about whether bad weather delayed the vessel. The Vorras shows why the distinction matters: the wording defines what kind of time counts as laytime in the first place.
I am naturally drawn to finding what is missing and questioning how an existing workflow could work better. At the same time, I try to look ahead at how the industry is evolving and what new needs may emerge. From there, I explore practical ways to apply those ideas through better use of data, clearer processes, automation or new tools. Market research is an important part of that process, helping me test assumptions, understand the wider context and turn initial ideas into more structured and relevant solutions.
03
Following commodity markets, trade flows and supply-demand developments to better understand how they interact with shipping, logistics and broader commercial decisions.
